Virtual Office Hours will be held from 8pm-9pm on Tuesday nights starting on January 26, 2010. These sessions will be recorded and available for playback at your convenience.

In order to use the classroom, follow the following instructions:
1) Download and refer to the Participants’ Guide from Elluminate (PDF).
2) Go to the Elluminate support site and follow the instructions for first time configuration use.
2) Log into the classroom by clicking the following link (you may wish to copy and paste it to your bookmarks folder for your convenience):
https://sas.elluminate.com/m.jnlp?sid=9452&password=M.9029434FC3A13AA62367E9668DE96F
· Enter your full name when prompted.
· Your web browser will download a file to your desktop (or your web browser downloads folder) called “meeting.jnlp”. This is a java file that will launch the Elluminate classroom. Double click on that file when it appears on your desktop (or in your downloads folder).
· Configure your audio following the instructions on page 83 of the above-linked instructional PDF.
· That’s all there is to it!
· Elluminate has the ability to do both chat and audio and the decision to use one or the other (or both) is at the discretion of the instructor. If audio is going to be used, however, it is strongly suggested that each user have a headset with an attached microphone. Users with a Mac will need a headset that uses a USB port. Although it is possible to use desktop speakers with a microphone on a stand, the feedback experience is distracting so it is advised that all users have a headset. Headsets and microphones are available from Staples/Office Depot/Walmart for a reasonable price ($20ish for a set).
If you are having connection problems, do NOT contact the Help Desk. Contact Elluminate directly as they are staffed 24/7. They have a knowledge base available here, and you can also call them at 866-388-8674 x.2.
